Checked additions by official sources
Check: 26.10.2026 The data below are from the official sites of the sites and municipal tourist sources. This is a selection from 9 sites to the partially transferred guidebook.
Earth and Man National Museum
Address: bul. Black Peak 4
The official description identifies a fixed entrance ramp to the ticket office and first exhibition floor, and a vertical platform to the second floor. Two exhibits can be touched and have Braille information. Interactive kiosks on both floors offer a video tour with sign language interpretation.
National Museum of Military History
Address: ul. "Cherkovna" 92
The museum identifies an entrance from Han Omurtag Street, with parking and easier wheelchair access. Group coaches use the same entrance. Guided tours require advance booking at least one week ahead. This corrects the original guide's placement of the museum in Varna.
National Gallery — Kvadrat 500
Address: Mt. "St. Alexander Nevsky" Street. February 19th 1
The official page describes four exhibition levels and free admission for visitors with physical disabilities. The reviewed page gives no technical ramp or lift dimensions. Confirm arrangements for a particular visit with the gallery.
Archaeological Museum — Varna
Address: bul. Maria Luisa 41.
The exhibition's official page confirms the address, seasonal opening hours and collections. This check did not establish technical access specifications for individual rooms.
Archaeological Museum — Burgas
Address: bul. "Aleko Bogoridi" 21
The Regional Historical Museum Burgas visitor page expressly mentions wheelchair access at the Archaeological Museum. Toilets are listed across the exhibitions, but no technical accessibility specifications are given. The exhibition address differs from the central administration at 69 Slavyanska Street.
History Museum — Ruse
Address: Mt. Alexander Batenberg 3
The official site describes rooms by floor and links to a virtual tour. Topics include prehistory, Cherven, Sexaginta Prista, Iatrus and Ruse's history. The reviewed pages do not confirm the dimensions of lifts, ramps or toilets.
National Museum of History
Address: ul. "White Tulip" 16
The museum describes a 2007 project involving entrance ramps, two lifts in the left wing, tactile markings on automatic doors and adapted toilets. This historical account does not confirm current equipment operation. Door markings do not establish a continuous tactile route. Confirm the entrance, lift and assistance you need before visiting.
Saint Sophia Church
Address: ul. "Paris" 2
The municipal tourism portal confirms the address as 2 Paris Street, correcting the original guide's address. The reviewed description gives no technical ramp dimensions, entrance widths or access details for the underground archaeological level. Check church and underground museum access separately.
Regional Museum of Natural History
Address: ul. "Hristo'. Danov" 34
The museum's official website says visitors with disabilities can access all parts of the exhibitions, including aquariums and a planetarium. The reviewed page gives no lift dimensions or seating access details for a specific planetarium programme. Confirm any assistance with the museum.
