Presenting a concept of glasses and shoes with sensors.

International student work

The news describes the development of students from the University of Ruse with participation of young people from Lithuania, Belgium and Britain. The goal is to identify obstacles in urban environments.

Concept and stage

Sensors in the shoes and cameras in the glasses are described to exchange information about surrounding objects. In 2019 the authors seek interest in future production.

Editorial note

The material presents a design idea. It does not confirm available product, tested safety or possibility of replacing the white cane.

Restrictions of the concept

Martin Yordanov is listed as a designer. The original describes sensor range up to 1.5 meters and difficult work of shoes in sand, puddles and mud, which is why additional cameras are provided. These are allegations of the project in 2019 without evidence of testing a finished product.
